This Week's New Releases: The Winter Hulk in the wild

This week, in AVENGERS #48, fresh from her forging in the Russian super-assassin furnace known as the Red Room, the Winter Hulk has been unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. And her first stop happens to be in Bagalia, the nation run by super villains, at a seedy little saloon called Red Rum's. The most dangerous bar in the world's most dangerous country. There our newly reddened Hulk goes seeking a Gorilla Who Walks Like a Man and drinks like a fish, who finds himself at a particularly dark low point in his long life. Globe-trotting hijinks ensue.

In case you can't tell, I really like writing a drunk and depressed Gorilla Man.

And this ain't exactly my first go-round with the big hairy dude.

From "My Dinner with Gorilla Man," AVENGERS VS. ATLAS #4, 2010, art by Giancarlo Caracuzzo, colors by Brad Anderson.

Coming up next in AVENGERS, war beneath the waves.
