The next chapter of KING CONAN is in comic book stores as of May 11, 2022.
Here's what Jason had to say about the issue in his most recent newsletter:
Probably my favorite issue of the series. Definitely the emotional crux of the story. After writing so many different periods of Conan’s life in the one big CONAN THE BARBARIAN story I did, “The Life and Death of Conan,” I wasn’t sure what else I had to say about the character. But writing the last scene of that arc, where old King Conan rides off into the sunset alongside his son, Prince Conn, I realized I wanted to see more of what “Conan the Father” would look like. Well, this issue we do. In all its gory details.
Mahmud Asrar and colorist Matt Wilson once again deliver the goods. It’s an issue-long fight scene that is packed with power and emotion. And it could not possibly be prettier.
And in their review of the issue, Big Comic Page says:
Aaron continues to deliver dialogue like this was the book he was put on this planet to write, and Conn’s rage-filled monologue in the latter stages of the issue managed to elicit genuine goosebumps in this particular reader. Powerful, emotional stuff.
...the Conan versus Conan storyline has elevated this series to all-time great status. Highest possible recommendation.
